You will receive an IELTS Test Report Form (or TRF) as official confirmation and proof of your test results. This can either be a paper/hard copy or a digital version (eTRF).
If you have taken the IELTS on computer, your results will be available within 1-5 days after your test date.
If you take IELTS on paper, you can preview your IELTS results online 13 calendar days after your test date. Your test centre will notify you when they become available.
To view your provisional IELTS results, you will need your passport and test date details. Check your results online here. However, this is only a preview of your test results and should not be used as an official confirmation of your performance — only the TRF or eTRF are considered as official confirmation of results.
If you have taken IELTS on paper, you will receive a paper Test Report Form. Your paper TRF will be delivered to your postal address or sometimes, you can collect it in person at your test centre. Please check with your test centre to see which option is available.
If you have taken IELTS on computer, you can access your eTRF online through the online portal.
How to download your eTRF:
Log in to your IELTS profile here
Go to "My Tests"
Access your results
Download your e-TRF
* Please note that the website works best with Google Chrome on a laptop or a computer.
** Most IELTS computer test centres no longer automatically mail out Test Report Forms. If you prefer a hard copy, kindly request it directly from the test centre.
Your IDP IELTS test centre can send you your Test Report Form (TRF) to your postal address.
If you take the IELTS on paper, we will post your TRF 13 calendar days after your test date, once your scores become available.
If you have taken IELTS on computer, upon request, we can post your TRF (hard copy) 1- 5 days after your test date.
Depending on the test centre, you may be able to collect your TRF in person. Please check with your test centre to see if this is available.
