1. Why did you choose to study in Australia?

I am originally from Vietnam and now I'm pursuing my Masters in Australia. I have always wanted to study in Australia and have even attempted to apply for a bachelor’s degree in Australia. However, my personal circumstances prevented me from accepting the offer to study in Australia thus I postponed my abroad studies. I finally got a chance to pursue my degree in Australia now and I found the country and my experience exactly like what I had anticipated. The country is friendly and green, I feel welcomed by natives and fellow international students; there are always opportunities to learn and welcome new ideas.

2. How was IDP able to help you?

IDP is a very prestigious and well-known organization in Vietnam, I've been following IDP for their updates about Australia-related news and feel like their knowledge would support me greatly in my process.

3. Are there any (major) challenges you faced?

Not at all, IDP made it very easy for me to apply and accept university application offers. The instructions from the education counsellors were very clear, they supported me from applying to universities up until I landed in Australia and still continue to advise for my educational path.

4. What are your goals for your career in Australia?

My goal is to pursue my career path in Business Analytics in Australia which is what I'm pursuing for my master's degree. There are multiple opportunities out there for international students and my education institution continues to provide me with very useful knowledge and information to help me step into the workforce.

5. Is there any advice for international students?

Work hard and don't take things for granted. I think when you are given an opportunity to be a part of this country, you should fight for your chance to be here and never stop striving for excellence. But also remember to have fun and give yourself necessary breaks, you are a human being after all!
