IELTS One Skill Retake is a new option that allows you to retake one of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) of the IELTS test if you need to improve your score in that area. This is a great way to boost your overall IELTS score if you feel you didn't perform your best in one particular skill.

To be eligible for IELTS One Skill Retake, you must have:

• Recently completed a full test on computer from an eligible test centre.

• Received your IELTS test score.

• Book your IELTS One Skill Retake within 60 days of your original test date.

The Australian Department of Home Affairs accepts IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR) for most visa subclasses. We are also happy to announce that IELTS One Skill Retake is now accepted by Ahpra and National Boards, Engineers Australia and Chartered Accountants ANZ for registration in their respective sectors.

The cost of IELTS One Skill Retake is AUD$280 in Australia.

The format and timing of that IELTS One Skill Retake test is the same as a normal IELTS test, only you can save time by not needing to complete the other three skills.

• You can get your new IELTS score within 2-5 days

IELTS One Skill Retake is the same format test as your IELTS test. This means that you can use the same preparation materials available for IELTS.

No. A maximum of one skill of the test can be retested for each full IELTS test. You cannot request a second IELTS One Skill Retake on the same test. If you wish to improve your IELTS score in more than one skill, you will need to book a complete IELTS test (all four skills).

No. You can only complete your retake once per full IELTS test.

You'll receive a new IELTS Test Report Form, that includes your new IELTS One Skill Retake result as well as the results from the previous skills you did not retake. This Test Report Form will be dated the same as your original IELTS Academic or General Training test.
