Hi. The best way to make friends in Canada is just talk to people. Canadians are really friendly and they're really approachable at Fanshawe. We have lots of social media channels which you can check to see what events are going on and where you might find people. You can also join the Fanshaw Friends program or if English as a second language, you can join our conversation circles. Hope that helps.

Conestoga, there are plenty of opportunities for you to make friends, you can do that simply by attending classes, being involved in group projects, attending events and activities hosted by Conestoga, or joining a group or club. There are so many opportunities for you to make friends meet new people. But my biggest advice for you would be to smile, be open and be friendly.

Canada, you'll find a lot of different cultures and many open minded people and at the University of Ottawa, as a student, you'll be able to make a lot of friends in a variety of different ways. You can get involved in clubs, join different student associations, or even play a different sport that you may like in some of our intramural leagues any way you look at it. People here will always be welcoming and it'll be very easy to make new friends.

The best way for a new student to Canada to make friends is to join a student group or to even create their own student group related to their academic studies or just other interests that they may have. Another way is that students can volunteer in the local city that they're living in at UT Winnipeg. The very easiest way to make friends is to simply form a study group. That way you can make sure you're staying on top of your studies. But also because we have such small class sizes, it'll be very easy for you to form relationships and no time.

There are so many ways to make friends at Ottowa and in Ottawa itself. So the first way that I always suggest is really to say hi to people in your classes. It's amazing what a high can do and to see where your friendship can go from there. Otherwise, you can consider getting involved in the different things that the University of Ottawa has to offer, like joining one of the over 200 clubs that the university has. Or you can potentially join an intramural sports team or just get involved with some of the campus activities.
