Contest Rules & Guidelines 

Contest Eligibility 

The IDP Canada's Refer to Win Winter Giveaway contest is open to those living in Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

To be eligible for a contest entry, the student referred should be a qualifying referral. For example, be an international student in Canada who is currently enrolled in a Canadian school and is actively apply to their second program within a year. All referral entries will be qualified by IDP Canada and only if they satisfy the criteria above, they will be entered into the contest. IDP Canada reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet eligibility or referral criteria (e.g., referrals that are not genuinely interested). Any referrals without a valid Canadian phone number will be disqualified. Each qualifying referral submitted counts as an individual entry. 

Employees, agents, and immediate family members of IDP Canada are not eligible to participate. 

How to Enter

Referrals can be made via the form or by talking to the IDP Counsellor directly. Both are valid and will be treated as the same.   

Duration 

All entries must be submitted between December 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025, 11:59pm (Eastern Time Zone). Entries received after this time will not be considered.  

The IDP Canada office will be closed between December 25, 2024, and January 1, 2025. During this time, IDP Canada will be unable to contact or qualify referrals. Any referrals submitted during this timeframe will be qualified from January 2, 2025, onwards.

Prize Distribution 

  1. Grand Prize: A 13-inch MacBook Air (M2 Chip, Silver colour) will be awarded to one lucky participant, selected at random from all qualifying entries. 

  2. Runner-Up Prizes: A $100 Amazon gift card will be awarded to the next 5 randomly selected participants from all qualifying entries. 

Only one MacBook Air and 5 $100 Amazon Gift Cards will be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items.

The winner will be notified via email or text through the IDP counsellor they have been working with. If the selected winner does not respond within 3 days of reaching out, an alternate winner may be selected. Before being declared a winner, the selected participant must provide proof of eligibility, including age and Canadian address, if requested by IDP Canada. 

By participating in the contest, participants agree to release IDP Canada and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, loss, or damage arising from or in connection with their participation in the contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize. 

By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow IDP Canada to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
