A wide variety of courses are offered at Northumbria University across various academic departments, including:

• Architecture & Built Environment: Housed in impressive new facilities and focusing on the teaching, research and enterprise of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Quantity and Building Surveying, Real Estate and Housing. Ranked 11^th in the UK for Research Power (REF 2021).
• Computer & Information Sciences: This is a leading department with an award-winning, state-of-the-art £7m building. It features leading work in computer science, games, animation and visual effects, computer forensics and security, network technology, website development, library management, and data and information sciences. It is ranked 12th in the UK for Research Power (REF 2021).
• Newcastle Business School (NBS): NBS is globally recognised for offering some of the best business-related courses in the UK and is home to a specialist Business Clinic designed to give students hands-on business experience. NBS was also the first Business School in Europe to be awarded double AACSB accreditation.
• Northumbria Law School: Northumbria's £70m state-of-the-art city centre location provides an outstanding learning environment. Professional facilities include courtrooms, an on-site law practice library, and a multi-award-winning Student Law Office, which provides students with hands-on law experiences.
• Northumbria School of Design: Partners include household names such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Microsoft, Mars, Unilever, and Nike. The School of Design also boasts an illustrious design alumni list, including Sir Jonathan Ive (former Senior Vice President of Apple) and Rob Law MBE (Founder of Trunki). Northumbria University has recently announced campus investment that aligns with the university strategy for 2030 and beyond. Work commenced in Summer 2023 with an ongoing period of investment in and securing:

• Centre for Health and Society Equity (CHASE): This brand-new building is situated to the north of City Campus and provides state-of-the-art teaching facilities, clinical skills laboratories, and simulated environments.
• North East Space Skills and Technology Centre (NESST): A £50m world-leading space skills, research, and technology centre developed by with investment from the UK Space Agency and Lockheed Martin. NESST will house world-leading space experts and unite industry with academia to transform the UK space economy.
• Heart of Campus: Refurbishing the Students' Union, updating the exterior of the library and repurposing the existing Sandyford Building.

According to The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023, Northumbria University ranks Top 40 in the UK for graduate prospects, both for the number of students achieving a First or 2:1 grade and for the average number of students in high-skills jobs or further study within 15 months of graduating.
