Bachelor of Business in Recreation and Sport Management

The Bachelor of Business in Recreation and Sport Management is a three-year ordinary degree course. This degree is for students who love sport but are unsure what area of sport they would like to work in. Our unique course is equal part business and sport. The programme is designed to give our students a wide knowledge base through classroom-based learning, practical classes in our state-of-the-art facilities and real-world experience through site visits, industrial engagement, experiential learning and of course our brilliant work placement programme.

Sport as an industry is massive. This degree opens opportunities for students to work in areas such as coaching, performance analysis, sport psychology, sports facilities management, sports tourism, sports development, sport policy and governance, sport inclusion, sports participation and opportunity for all, sports marketing, sponsorship, strategic planning and business development, outdoor recreation, strength and conditioning, or take up any area in the fitness industry. All students whose first language is not English must be able to provide evidence that their spoken and written level of English is adequate for the programme for which they have applied. The relevant certified documentation to support this shall be provided as part of the application process. An approved English language qualification or test result (see below for list of approved qualifications and test results). The qualification or test result shall have been awarded no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment. Substantial education (minimum one academic year) or work experience (minimum eighteen months) conducted through English and undertaken no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment. Satisfactory completion of an interview process for entry onto the programme.
