Charles Wallace India trust scholarships (CWIT) is the scholarship fund of Charles Wallace India Trust that provides grants to Indian students currently living in India in the early or middle stages of their career and either working or studying in the heritage conservation, arts, or humanities.
In India for the past 40 years, British Council in partnership with the Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT) has been managing the scholarship. There are different categories of grants available in the scholarship that include:
Fully funded awards
Visiting fellowships in specified subjects at mentioned institutions
Grants for research or professional visits
Grants to pursue doctoral study

Gasworks International Residency Programme: Supports out-of-UK artists to work for 3 months in London.
Delfina Foundation: It’s an independent, non-profit foundation dedicated to creating opportunities for emerging and established artists, curators, and writers and helping them position their work in global discourse.
Museology: CWIT supports placements in archaeology, museology, curating or conservation at the Albert Museum or Victoria or any other specified institutions. The venture is jointly funded by CWIT and the Nehru Memorial Trust for the India Collections.

CWIT long-term grants (duration: 1 year)
Applicant should:
Be an Indian citizen living in India
Be aged between 28 and 38
Have a first degree, diploma, or professional qualification in their specialisation. CWIT prefers applicants with significant working experience
Have not received a CWIT grant within the last five years
2. CWIT Short Research Grants (duration: 3 weeks)
Applicants should:
Be Indian citizens living in India
Be aged between 25 and 45
Have good knowledge of English language
Have completed their studies and have 4 or more years of research or experience in their specialisation, or be in the final stages of their doctorate
State clearly and exactly what they want to do in the UK and which archival material they wish to consult
Where relevant say whether they have contacted academic or professional contacts who have agreed to meet them
State how they plan to use the experience on their return to India
Not have received a CWIT grant within the previous 5 years
3. Grants: Final year of Doctoral study in the UK (duration: Final stages)
Applicants should be:
Studying in fields covered by CWIT
An Indian citizens domiciled in India and who are returning to India on completion of their studies
Between 25-38 years of age
Not in receipt of a CWIT grant in the previous 5 years
