The founder of the Azad Hind government and the Indian national army was considered the greatest freedom fighters of all time. You will be amazed to know that after studying at Presidency College, West Bengal, Netaji pursued his further education at Cambridge, Fitzwilliam College. He got into the Fitzwilliam Hall, a body for non-collegiate members of the university and studied Mental and Moral Sciences Tripos and also prepared himself for the Civil service exam. While studying in the UK, Bose joined the Cambridge Union Society debates and was also a member of Cambridge Majlis.

Mahatma Gandhi was born in Gujarat and completed his former education in India. Later, he went to study abroad and became a famous lawyer. He graduated in law from the University College London, one of the most renowned institutions worldwide. Indian Jurist, economist, social reformer, political leader, and lawyer, Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar had it all! He was an eminent personality of his time and his interests in Political Science, Economics and Law made him overly qualified. He secured multiple degrees from Indian and foreign institutions. He was a PhD from Columbia University (US), where he received his doctorates in 1923 and 1927, he was one of the few Indians who did this in the 1920s. Not only this, but he did MSC from the London School of Economics (UK) and also studied economics at the University of Bonn (Germany). Wait! V.V. Giri, the former president of India was a famous advocate and did his law studies at University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. Giri was among the top 13 students who did the obligatory year-long course at UCD around 1915. Giri along with others pursued a Bachelor of Art Course from UCD. He was also an active member of both Indian and Irish politics during his studies.
