Piyush Kumar, Regional Director-South Asia & Mauritius, IDP Education Limited
A seasoned business leader with over 24 years of experience, Piyush is currently associated with IDP Education India Pvt. Ltd. as Regional Director (South Asia and Mauritius) since 2017. In his role, he oversees the execution of business strategy and manages the operating and service performance across student placement as well as IELTS. He is also a member of IDP’s Global Leadership Team and has played a crucial role in driving exceptional business growth and opportunities for the region. He joined IDP in 2015 as the Country Director for IDP India and became the Regional Director for South Asia within just two years in 2017.
Before IDP, Piyush was associated with GE Capital for about 14 years. He exhibited an impressive track record of building and growing businesses and managing large, high-performance cross-functional teams in India and international markets.
A highly successful P&L leader, and a Tech evangelist who believes that every business will be a technology business in the future, he holds an MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis, Pune, and a B.Engg. Degree from NIT, Silchar, along with several certification programs on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, etc., from prominent international institutions like Northwestern University, Imperial College Business School, and others. Being a life-long learner, Piyush has also completed an Advance Management Program at MIT Sloan School of Management.
