So my suggestion would be, first, try and try to live in a school accommodation so that you can meet a variety of people from different faculties. It's quite easy to develop a close friendship with people you live with and also go to every lecture and tutorial interacting with people around you. This helps you to make friends that have the same degree as you. You guys might form a study group in the future and help each other with their study. And this is very good.
