Eligibility criteria to study at the Toronto Metropolitan University

Due to the competitive nature of the programs, applications are considered on an individual basis and are subject to competition. While we mention the most common eligibility requirements here, we recommend that you check specific requirements pertaining to your desired engineering course at the university. 1. For an undergraduate program

Either – CBSE awarded All India Senior School Certificate or CISCE awarded Indian School Certificate
If you are still in class XII, you’ll need to submit your final class XI mark sheet with a class XII mark sheet with midterm grades showing the current subjects you are studying
( Note: Do remember that predicted grades are accepted with current class XII midterm marks)
A band score of minimum 6.5 to 7.0 (with no sub-score below 6.0) in your IELTS test to prove your English language proficiency skills
If you wish to apply for a co-op option, you have to maintain a 3.0 GPA and take a face-to-face interview. Generally, this option is available in the second and third year

2. For a post-graduate program

Four-year honours degree or equivalent from a recognised institution in the same area of graduate study or a closely related subject
A GPA between 3.0-4.33 (B or equivalent) in the last two years of study within a four-year undergraduate (or equivalent) bachelor's degree
A minimum band score of 7 in IELTS to prove your English language proficiency skills
A resume highlighting at least two years of full-time professional work experience. This requirement varies with course

Tuition Fee for the Toronto Metropolitan University

The minimum annual tuition fee you’ll have to pay to pursue an undergraduate Engineering course at Toronto Metropolitan University lies between $30,315 to $38,430 and for a masters, course ranges between $15,033 to $22,979.

Scholarships available for international students in Canada

Carleton offers an Entrance Award Scholarship (known as International Secondary School Merit Scholarship) to seven of its meritorious students. This scholarship amounts to $5,000 per awardee. It is a non-renewable scholarship as it only covers the entrance awards.
