The Times Education Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by the Times Higher Education magazine. It is one of the three most popular rankings in the world along with QS World University Rankings and Academic Ranking of World Universities. THE Rankings have evaluated 1,904 universities from 108 countries and territories this year.
The influencers under the THE ranking include teaching (29.5%), research (29%), citation (15%), industry income (4%), and international outlook (7.5%). *
Eight Irish universities have been ranked in the top 500 vs. last year in which seven were ranked in the top 500. While Trinity College Dublin have gone up from 161 to 134, most of the institutions have a consistent ranking from the previous year.
The next THE World University Ranking is expected to come out in September 2024.
