At large, you can get an education fund worth thousands of New Zealand dollars which is very helpful in financing your studies. For example, there are International Student Excellence Scholarships from the University of Auckland and International Excellence Scholarships from the University of Waikato which offer tuition fee waivers up to NZD 10,000 at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. There’s also University of Otago International Master's Research Scholarship that offers NZ$15,000 stipend per year plus a tuition fee waiver for 1 year. Other than the universities themselves, the government, specifically New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) also has New Zealand Scholarship program for international students.

What are the conditions?

Requirements vary. For example, you have to pay full tuition in advance for a particular program, show high achievements, or potential to become an ambassador for the sponsoring institution. But please remember, scholarships from universities for international students usually do not cover the full costs of your studies. In the education world, it’s known as partial scholarship, which only covers some portion (partially) of the study costs. When searching for information, you can search for bursaries or award keywords, and of course, scholarships. Before the registration period is closed, you can try to pursue the scholarship requirements. For more information, you can check the official website respectively.
