Do is join a club or society in an activity that you're interested in. Spend some time with people who share the same interests and you can really, really make friends that way quite easily. I personally joined the American football team at the University of Limerick. You can see my jersey on the wall. I made friends for life and unforgettable experiences. So definitely join a club or society in the university that you're studying.
