The first one is to check out all of the clubs in association and committees that are relevant to your hobby. So check out your website for more information on the second piece would just be the initiator and say hi to the fans in your class and they will let you actually make the conversation. Hope that helps.

For me, the best way to make friends in Australia is by joining study groups and through clubs and organizations at school.

It is quite easy to make friends in Australia and especially in Melbourne. Melbourne is a very multicultural city that has plenty of events and activities happening all the time, and most of the events and activities are usually free of charge. If you are studying at Victoria University, you also will be able to join more than 60 clubs available for our students, or even create your own. So then you can meet people with the same interest.

Hi guys, Sean here. I moved to city to study from a small town about six hours away and I didn't really know anyone, the best way for me to make friends was to firstly live on campus. You've got people coming from all over the world to study at Sydney to make friends. Number two was to join a club of society. And number three, just turn up to your lectures and classes with a smile and you'll be surprised too. A lot of my friends today are those that I just said hello to in the first week of class. So it really pays off.

Hi, this is Kat from UniSA. As you know, Australians are so friendly, so it's really easy to make friends here, either inside of the classroom or without. At UniSA, we have a strong focus on collaborative learning. So it's actually super easy to make friends in your classroom. Outside of that, you can, a really great way to make friends is to join a student association or a sporting team.
