Always remember that Ireland is not a part of the UK. Calling people from Ireland as British or from the UK can be offensive to them. Also, referring to many in North Ireland as Irish can offend them.  

Most of us love to chat, especially in a new environment where there are different conversations to share. But it is always advisable to avoid being a conversation hogger. In Ireland, this kind of chat is often interpreted as rude or aggressive. So, be careful of this behaviour, be a better listener and take interest in what other people are saying.

Also, as a bonus suggestion please avoid talking about money to Irish people because it makes them feel awkward and find it offensive. It’s not ok to ask about how much money they earn or money in general.
