Updated as of April 4, 2022.The Canadian borders have been opened to international students since October 27, 2021.Starting April 1, 2022, pre-entry tests will no longer be required for fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada by land, air or water. Fully vaccinated travelers must still use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before arrival to Canada.

To qualify as a fully vaccinated traveler, you must have received a vaccine accepted by the Government of Canada 14 days prior to the day you travel.Vaccines accepted by the Government of Canada for the purpose of travel to and within Canada:

AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD
Bharat Biotech
Moderna
Pfizer-BioNTech
Sinopharm BIBP
Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc)
or a mix of 2 accepted vaccines
or at least 1 dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a 14-day quarantine plan in place before arriving in Canada. The border services officers will make the final decision about whether you qualify as a fully vaccinated traveler.
