The Newtons' Undergraduate Scholarship in Mathematics provides £3,000 a year for up to three years, plus £1,000 for a Professional Training Year/ Placement if undertaken.
The Scholarship aims to encourage and support students from lower income backgrounds on any of our undergraduate mathematics degree programmes:
- BSc (Hons)/MMath Mathematics
- BSc (Hons)/MMath Mathematics and Data Science
- BSc (Hons) Financial Mathematics.
Students can receive this Scholarship in addition to a University Merit Scholarship as well as any other bursary, prize and award for which they are eligible, if successful.
To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
Have an offer to study at undergraduate level on one of our mathematics degrees
Be a UK/Home British student
Have family income of no more than £35,000.
