To be eligible for this bursary, you must meet all the following criteria:
You must be a Home student for fee paying purposes
Be in the first year of your studies at Cardiff Metropolitan University
You must also meet the Carers Trust definition of a carer:
''Anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.''
A ‘Carers Bursary' of up to £1,000 for full-time students and up to £500 for part-time students may be available during the first year of your course (which you would not have to pay back).
