Recipients will:
Be admitted or conditionally admitted to Langara as an international student for the specified semester
Intend to study full-time (nine or more credits) in a regular studies undergraduate program
Meet the minimum score of one of the English proficiency exams listed in the International Regional Entrance Scholarship English Language Eligibility Criteria document. Students who are residents of and completed formal education in English-speaking countries may be exempt from this requirement
Have a minimum 80% GPA from high school or post-secondary institution. Post-secondary only to be considered if a full credential has been completed from a college or university outside of Canada
Be from one of the following regions: Americas, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, Middle East, Europe, or CIS.
The International Regional Entrance Scholarships were established to financially support international students coming to Langara College in pursuit of higher education. Applicants can apply for the CAN $7,500 award if they are planning to start their full-time undergraduate studies in the specified semester. Eligible recipients will have CAN $5,000 applied towards the cost of tuition and fees in their first term of study. Recipients must maintain a CGPA of 2.67 in their first term and be registered full-time in an eligible program to receive the balance of their award as tuition credit in their second term of study. Have IELTS 7.0 with no bands less than 6.5, or equivalent. Students who are residents of and completed formal education from English-speaking countries may be exempt from this requirement. Grades in English courses may be considered
