Selection of recipients will be based upon consideration of the following factors:
Academic potential, as demonstrated by programme admission.
Application for this Entrance Scholarship is open to all international students who have completed secondary (high) school, or at another approved institution that grants University Entrance either overseas or within New Zealand.
And
Are intending to enrol or have enrolled in full-time degree-level, undergraduate study at the University of Otago Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka.
Specific eligibility criteria for this Scholarship
In addition to the above eligibility criteria, applicants must be:
Intending to study at the University of Otago Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka from 100-level (first year) through to degree attainment
Studying on campus throughout the duration of their studies.
For those who have completed secondary school or Foundation level study in New Zealand, applications can be submitted through the online Entrance Scholarship application. Applicants must complete the first stages of enrolment through the student management system (eVision) during the Entrance Scholarship application period 1 July to 15 August.

For those applying with a study background outside of New Zealand, every eligible applicant must indicate in their application for study, through the student management system (eVision), that they would like to be considered for international scholarships at the University of Otago Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka.
Closing dates
10 December for semester 1 (February) start
30 April for semester 2 (July) start for offshore students
15 August for onshore students
