In making the recommendation, the selection committee gives equal consideration to: a. academic achievement and b. potential to contribute to the energy field.
If, in any year, there is no candidate of sufficient merit, no scholarship is offered.
The purpose of this scholarship is to support study towards a Master's degree at the University of Canterbury for students engaged in research related to the energy field.
Tenure: The scholarship is tenable for the period necessary to complete up to 120 points of enrolment
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Enrolment in one of the following:
a programme for a Master's degree that includes a thesis, dissertation, or research project with a credit weighting of at least 90 points, relating to the energy field in the broadest sense or
a programme for a Master of Engineering Studies (MEngSt) degree in Renewable Energy, that includes a 30-point research project
Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 31 October (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)
