The School of Histories, Languages and Cultures are offering two scholarships to Black British students in 2023/24. The scholarships are open to students applying for the MA in International Slavery Studies at the University.

The School of Histories, Languages and Cultures are offering two scholarships to Black British students in 2024/25. The scholarships are open to students applying for the MA in International Slavery Studies at the University.
Eligibility
Please check your eligibility before considering this scholarship. Awards may be withdrawn if we later become aware that successful students have not met the eligibility criteria or have provided false information.
Applicants must satisfy all of the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:
You must be of Black ethnicity (including Black British, Black African, Black Caribbean or dual heritage backgrounds)
Permanently reside in the UK
You must have been assessed for fee status as a ‘home' student, or expect to be assessed as a ‘home student'
Be applying for the MA in International Slavery Studies programme, to commence study in 2024-25, on either a full-time or part-time basis.
There is no separate application process for these scholarships. If you meet the criteria, you can declare your interest when applying for the MA International Slavery Studies as part of your personal statement.
