Engineering Global Talent Scholarship

This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful.

There are 3 stages to the shortlisting process.

1. We check that you meet the eligibility criteria.
2. We score your academic record and qualifications as stated on your UCAS or PGT application form.
3. The panel will decide who gets the scholarships. The panel will consider your supporting statement, alongside your academic achievements to date.
4. We may also shortlist applicants from Least Developed Countries, Low Income or Lower Middle-Income countries.

The decision of the scholarship panel is final. We do not offer feedback on our process.

Complete the scholarship expression of interest form. You will need to provide a 500-word personal statement explaining why you should receive this scholarship.

To be eligible for a scholarship you must:

• apply for a University of Southampton course before you apply for the scholarship
• have a course offer before the scholarship closing date
• pay overseas tuition fees

You must not be in receipt of any external scholarship, more than or equal to your tuition fees.

Residency requirement

We determine your residency as where you have been living for a 3-year period or longer before the start of the course. This does not include where you are living for study purposes, if it is somewhere different from your place of permanent residency.
