Selection criteria:
The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is delighted to offer a number of £2,000 Deans Excellence scholarships to Home (Scottish) and RUK students undertaking a full-time, on-campus Masters programme.
The scholarships will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their programme application, excellent academic performance (current and/or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.
All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for an award, therefore no separate scholarship application is required.
Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis and awards may be allocated early in the application cycle, so an early application for admission is advised.
Eligibility
Awards will be assessed on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their programme application, excellent academic performance (current and/or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.
Important things to note
The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences' scholarships are only open for self-funded, Home (Scottish) and RUK fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time, on-campus Masters programme.
All Home and RUK offer holders will be automatically considered for an award.
Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in September 2025 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences' decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
No application is necessary, as all Home (Scottish) and RUK offer holders will be considered.
