Wesley Nicol is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who has, over his lifetime, made a profound impact on his native city of Ottawa. He has brought his keen intelligence, drive and insight into the spheres of business, education, politics, and housing through professional and volunteer engagement on many levels. Wesley Nicol is passionate about the importance of education, family and strong communities in the lives of young people. In recognition of the caliber of the faculty and enthusiasm of students at the University of Waterloo, Mr. Nicol has established the Wesley M. Nicol MBET Scholarship for outstanding students at the University's Centre for Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology (CBET).
The Wesley M. Nicol MBET Scholarship, with a minimum value of CAN $10,000, will be awarded annually to one student (or divided evenly between two students) who are full-time University of Waterloo graduate students in the Faculty of Engineering's CBET program.
Value description:
The payout is matched annually by the Faculty of Engineering for a total scholarship of CAN $10,000.
