Hing Wong has been around since 2005, and they stock a whopping 5,000 Chinese and Asian products in their supermarket in Tallaght. Asia Market has two branches in Dublin - one at Drury Street, and one at Ballymount. This supermarket isn’t technically a Japanese grocery store, but if you’re looking to stock up on Japanese ingredients, it’s pretty much your best bet. The store sells tofu, miso, natto, noodles, rice, dashi stock, nori, sake, gyoza, and other Japanese products, and they even have freshly made mochi and a bubble tea counter. Again, Asian Food isn’t a specialty Indian grocery stores, but this is where you’d go to get all your spices and condiments that are essential to Indian cooking. Spices and condiments aside, Asian Food also stocks vegetables that are commonly used in Indian cooking (okra, bottle gourd etc), frozen parathas, and as one online reviewer puts it, “about 100 different kinds of lentils”.Indian food and ingredients aside, you’ll also find items from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia at Asian Food. Want to make some hearty Korean stews at home to keep warm in the cold Irish winters? Head to Han Sung Asian Market, a Korean grocery store that sells everything from kimchi to Korean face masks. Once you’re done browsing, walk towards the end of the store, where there’s a casual eatery that serves up authentic Korean food at affordable prices. This place doesn’t look like much, but it’s a huge hit with Koreans and Asians living in Dublin, and Dublin InQuirer dubs it “probably the best Korean food in Dublin”.
