The University of Roehampton offers over 90 undergraduate taught courses and over 60 postgraduate taught courses over a diverse range of subject areas. There are, additionally, a range of foundation courses, postgraduate research courses, higher technical courses, and international pathway programmes.

The University of Roehampton welcomes applications from prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students around the world. In addition to their application, international students are required to submit certificates and transcripts of their relevant academic qualifications, evidence of a valid English language qualification, two references, and a personal statement.
Academic entry requirements vary on a course-by-course basis and prospective students are encouraged to check specific academic entry requirements for their home country on the university's international students homepage.
International applicants must be able to demonstrate a degree of spoken English language proficiency before starting their chosen course. A full list of English language tests and scores accepted by the university can be found on Roehampton's International Entry Requirements webpage. Unless stated, test results for English language proficiency tests are only usually accepted if they have been achieved in the past two years. For students who wish to improve their English language proficiency, the university also runs a range of pre-sessional English courses.

New students will be allocated a place in one of the university's four colleges: Whitelands, Digby Stuart, Southlands, or Froebel. Whitelands College is the oldest of the four and has been providing higher education for women longer than any university in the UK. Roehampton's merit-based scholarships range in value, from GBP 1,000 to GBP 4,000, and are applied over the course of three years. There are also discounts available for alumni referrals, and for returning postgraduate students who already hold a degree from Roehampton.
