Habits that will help your self-improvement

Topics covered

Some habits give you extra encouragement to increase your self-improvement and some of them sit like a burden on you. Being able to direct yourself in the direction you want to be and the person you want to be is something completely you can accomplish, but we have compiled the habits that we think will help you.

1 – Create a morning routine

Create a routine for each morning. This can be as simple as tidying up your bed. When you follow this routine and/or for each day you complete this routine, you’ll feel as comfortable as having something crossed out a thing on the to-do list. Of course, you don’t need to feel like a loser when you can’t complete. It’s just a simple job that you’ll get out of your way by following a simple routine will help your self-improvement.

2 – Create an evening routine

Just like the morning routine, create a routine for your evenings. You can either follow a simple routine such as watering your potted flowers when you come home every evening or follow a routine such as exercising for half an hour every evening. Observe your progress, delete one more thing from your to-do list.

3 – Visualize your goals while you are in the shower

Think, look for ways for your goals and try to visualize the steps you need to take in order achieve your goals. Showers are magical places to help you to make this happen. The things you can envision are things that will likely to going to be real. When you start planning things that will improve yourself and bring you closer to that goal. Step by step, you will find yourself halfway down the road.

4 – Find or create a mantra/slogan that makes you feel powerful

A simple word, picture or photo can be enough to make us happy. Life is hard, but you are not an easy bite either. So, choose a motto that will make you feel powerful and hopeful in a hopeless time. Repeat this motto to yourself or better, write it down and put it somewhere easy to reach. When you feel like you are running out of patience, repeat again and again.

5 – Choose one day for self-care

Life can be like a river and we are drifting in its speed with what we are trying to reach. Give yourself a day so you can take a deep breath and do things you love. Place a slice of cucumber in your eyes, do skincare, listen to your favourite music, meditate… But most importantly, be nice to yourself.

6 – Set your alarm 15 minutes in advance

Set your alarm 15 minutes in advance of the time you really need to get up. Make time for yourself to start the day and review what to do. In this way, you can spare time for yourself to get ready for the day and your small routines.

7 – Do not get in your bed without removing your makeup or wearing your pyjamas

Although you may dying to get in yourself in the warm, comfortable and safe linens of your bed, when you get up in the morning, finding yourself in clothes that will remind you of the previous day’s weariness will prevent you from starting the day happy. Your scattered makeup or your wrinkled clothes will prevent the feeling of waking up in the morning refreshed and also may demoralize you when you see your reflection in the mirror.

8 – Get away from experiences/habits that will not serve you

Life continues with bitter-sweet experiences. Stop stick around of the habits you always wanted to change. Now is the best time to stop and give a chance to your progress. Guide yourself to the places you want to be and the person who you want to be. Do not spend your time and your happiness on the things that don’t make any contribution to your life. The moment you learn to say “no”, the power is going to be with you!

9 – Say yes to the things that excites you!

If the thought of parachuting has always excited you and you have an opportunity to make it happen, why would say “no”? You need happiness, you need excitement. People may be afraid of being happy or too afraid to face the things that scare them and they are moving away from their dreams for that reason. But without forgetting that you’ll only live once, live your happiness that will not harm other creation’s life, existence and soul and share this happiness with the world!
