Our school's research activities are consistently underpinned by a dual concern for inclusion and excellence, yet are also diverse in terms of epistemological, theoretical and empirical foci.

Alongside our staff and other PhD students, you can engage with a range of topics relating to identities and inequalities in education, including gender, sexuality, ethnicity, class, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), education for sustainability (including democracy, rights and participation), digital technology in education, arts in schools, and teachers' careers and identities. We also support research in curriculum, pedagogy and educational leadership.

MPhil or PhD with progression from MPhil: Youll need a Bachelors degree or equivalent with first or upper second class honours, in a related subject area.

IELTS 6.5 with 5.5 in each component.
TOEFL iBT with 88 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking
