Graduate Certificate of Engineering

Study the Graduate Certificate of Engineering and you’ll develop research, technical and professional skills, a positive approach to problem solving and the ability to design and implement engineering projects as part of a team.

Throughout this degree, you will acquire advanced engineering skills and the forward-thinking and entrepreneurial skills employers are looking for through the pursuit of specialised study.

This course is designed for those with a 3-year undergraduate degree; or membership of Engineers Australia (Engineering Technologist) or equivalent professional body.

Domestic students who wish to undertake the Graduate Certificate as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity are advised to choose a specialisation area of study out of the six areas available to choose from the Master of Engineering (Professional).

Selection is based on a holistic consideration of your academic merit, work experience, likelihood of success, availability of places, participation requirements, regulatory requirements, and individual circumstances. You will need to meet the minimum course entry requirements to be considered for selection, but this does not guarantee admission.

To be considered for admission to this degree you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
completion of a 3 year bachelor degree or higher in a related discipline (engineering)
membership of Engineers Australia (Engineering Technologist), or equivalent professional body

To meet the English language proficiency requirements of this course, you will need to demonstrate at least one of the following:
bachelor degree from a recognised English-speaking country
IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent
TOEFL IBT - 79 with Writing 21
TOEFL PBT - 577 with Writing 4.5
