Associate of Applied Science in Music Production

The Music Production Associate of Applied Science degree program prepares students with the necessary skills for career paths in music creation and production. Courses focus on digital audio principles, audio engineering techniques, music theory, and music history.

The goal of the Music Production Associate of Applied Science degree program is to provide you with the focused knowledge and understanding of music production technology and concepts needed to qualify for entry-level industry positions as audio and sound-effects technicians, independent audio engineers, remote-recording engineers, location audio recordists, project-studio engineers, beat programmers, music editors, mix engineers, songwriters, and a variety of other positions in the audio and entertainment industries. In addition to technical proficiency and creative development, your education will help you develop critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that will provide you a solid set of career-focused foundational competencies. This career-focused education will equip you with the tools to help sustain a long and productive professional career in the entertainment and media industries.

Interview with Admissions Representative
The interview can be conducted via phone, Skype, or other communication tool. The interview will cover the program, admissions requirements (including the steps to submit the application), and seat deposit of $200 (campus degree only).
High School/Secondary School Transcript (required for undergraduate degree programs)
Applicants who have completed high school at a foreign institution must provide official documentation which will be evaluated in-house for equivalence. Documentation not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
Verification of Language Proficiency
Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate the required level of language proficiency by providing documentation of one of the following-
TOEFL iBT minimum required score of 79
IELTS Academic minimum required score of 6.5
