The MIT (Big Data and Analytics) is a contemporary and industry-aligned degree designed to develop critical judgment, advanced knowledge and specialised skills to be able to succeed in the dynamic data analytics sector.

The degree blends the practical and theoretical aspects of data analytics across a range of essential IT domains, encompassing Business Intelligence, Big Data Architecture and Management, Persuasive Data Visualisation and Communication, Advanced Data Analytics, Deep Learning Analytics and Cyber Security as integral components of their comprehensive curriculum.

Additionally, students will have an opportunity to complete a Data Analytics IT Consulting Project, as well as gain real-world work experience through their Professional Placement.

Successful completion of a bachelor degree (AQF 7) from an Australian higher education institution or equivalent, OR
Successful completion of at leasttwo(2) award, or non-award, postgraduate subjects (at AQF Level 8 or above) from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent, OR
Successful completion of an approved Postgraduate Qualifying Program from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent, OR
For mature age entry (21+): successful completion of a diploma or associate degree qualification (or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Government's qualifications recognition tool) and four years of relevant IT professional or management experience.
