Fashion Design and Accessories Semester (Study Abroad)

Progression Programmes are groups of specialised learning blocks or ‘levels’ that prepare participants with the skills and knowledge to enter the fashion industry. Each course is structured in two (2) distinct levels ranging from a foundation introductory level, working through to a higher comprehension of skill and study.
Creating fashion objects of desire: designing the new fashion accessories. This semester course teaches design techniques and production methods covering shoes, bags, and fashion collection design, improving skills in areas including illustration, and 2D 3D design, and production processes and techniques. Aimed at students with at least one-year previous undergraduate study in fashion accessories, fashion design, or similar field, this inspiring short course encourages participants to develop their knowledge and skill in accessories design, as well as broadening horizons for personal growth and future career development.

Admission is based on the reasonable expectation that the student will be able to fulfil the objectives of the programme and
achieve the standard required for the award.
Admission requirements are listed below:
Completed the first year (L4) of an Undergraduate Bachelor programme in Fashion Design or a smilar programme,
For non English/French/Italian native speakers: certificate of language skills, level b2 of Common European Framework of Reference with specific requirements (e.g. IELTS Academic with 6.0 iverall, ni less than 5.5 for each element),
Portfolio,
Good knowledge of pattern-making and fabrics,
Drawing skills,
Signed personal statement.

Students with some experience of higher education can enter one of our BA (Hons) degrees in the second year (RQF level 5) for 6 months starting from term 1 or 2 depending from the intake. During the admissions process BA applicants will be additionally required to submit a piece of written work (not for creative courses) or portfolio (not for business courses) to show knowledge achieved during their previous studies.
