Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Modern Foreign Languages) PGCE

The course provides practical and theoretical ideas about language teaching from tutors and practising teachers. You will be able to participate in the research projects of the course tutors and develop as classroom researchers over the course. In the last research assessment exercise, the department was rated as the leading education institution for research in London. An Ofsted Outstanding rated course that is designed around a strong research base to provide you with the knowledge and essential skills for a successful teaching career. A minimum 2:2 undergraduate Bachelor's (honours) degree
If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).

IELTS (Academic) - 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill.
TOEFL iBT - 100 overall with a minimum of 25 in writing and 23 in each of the other skills.
Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 69 overall with a minimum of 62 in each communicative skill.
