Design custom creative solutions to interior design problems aimed at improving quality of life and quality of work.Consult with clients to determine needs, preferences, safety requirements and purpose of space.
Develop detailed plans and 3D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and graphics software.
Develop plans, elevations, cross-sections and detailed drawings, and advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials, floor and wall coverings, window treatments, interior and exterior lighting, furniture and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards.
Estimate costs and materials required.
Prepare plans and specifications for the final interior designs in accordance with current practices and codes.

To be eligible for acceptance into an ACS program, applicants are generally required to meet one of the following criteria:

Have interrupted their full-time studies for at least two (2) consecutive semesters or one (1) full school year; or

Have followed post-secondary studies for a period of at least one (1) year; or

Have a Secondary School Diploma (DES) or a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS), and the program allows them to receive a technical training that is not available in a DCS program; or

Have an equivalent education or an instruction deemed sufficient and meet the admission criteria set for college studies.

IELTS Academic: 6.5 written At least 6 for the other components

TOEFL (iBT): 24 written At least 18 for the other components
