New Zealand Certificate in Domestic Maritime Operations (Coastal and Offshore) (Level 5)

Take your career as a skipper to the next level. If you hold a Skipper Restricted Limits (SRL) certificate of competency (endorsed to 24 metres), then this is your next step to progress your career. Learn the skills to work as a skipper on a working, passenger, or fishing vessel (less than 24 metres in length) operating within the coastal and offshore limits.

Entry to this qualification is open but completion does not guarantee the award of a Maritime New Zealand license.

General

Applicants are required to complete Year 12 or equivalent of secondary school.

Entry requirements vary from country to country.

IELTS test: Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5; TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT): Score of 530 (with an essay score of 4.5 TWE); TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 46 (with a writing score of 14); Cambridge English Examinations: B2 First or B2 First for schools with a score of 162. No less than 154 in each skill; OET - Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests; Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE (Academic) score of 42 with no band score lower than 36.
