Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts, Art Education Concentration (Combined Bachelor of Arts/Master of Arts with Teacher Certification in Art (Preschool-Grade 12) and Teacher of Students with Disabilities)

The Visual Arts Major is most suited for students seeking a diversified academic experience combined with a focus in art. Approximately one-third of the curriculum is based in studio courses and two-thirds in general education subjects, allowing students to explore their studio concentration within the context of a broad liberal arts education.
Students who study Visual Arts learn to create using a variety of media and techniques, including ceramics, drawing, metalwork and jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, and exhibit their work on and off campus. Our undergraduate program is aligned with the most contemporary practices of the field and our interdisciplinary Master of Fine Arts will prepare you for a lifelong career as a professional fine artist.
A Combined Degree program enables undergraduate students to enroll in graduate courses in their senior year, which can be counted towards the completion of both their Bachelor's and Master's degree requirements. The ability to take these swing courses allows students to earn both their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in a shortened period of time, typically within five years.
