Master of Arts in Agricultural and Extension Education

The Agricultural and Extension Education department is dedicated to molding students into agricultural leaders. Our graduates have a broad understanding of agriculture, strong communication skills, applied leadership experiences and specialized training in individual interest areas. Our alumni work in a variety of fields, including domestic and international community development, agricultural education, cooperative extension, agricultural communications, and government.

A student seeking admission to graduate school at NMSU must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree or an advanced degree from a regionally accredited institution. The academic program of the completed degree should be equivalent to a comparable NMSU degree's requirements.
Students must send official transcripts from their prior colleges or universities directly to the Graduate School.
An international applicant whose grade-point average (or its equivalent) is greater than or equal to 3.0., from a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
