Train for a career teaching Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, or Spanish for grades 712, and English to speakers of other languages for grades K12. You must have completed the following content core requirements for your intended teaching certification area, as regulated by the New York State Education Department, prior to enrollment:

Major in the target language or 30 semester hours of coursework in the target language

You must have the equivalent of a regionally accredited four-year US bachelor's degree before beginning your studies at NYU Steinhardt to be considered for admission.
