Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours Specialization) in Art History and Visual Studies

Our mission is to help art history and fine arts students, as well as students from other disciplines, develop critical and interdisciplinary frameworks to question how the fields of art and visual and material culture relate to disparate social contexts that shape our lives.These and other questions form the basis of our ongoing discovery of the often-unexpected diversity of human voices in art history and visual studies.

In the Fine Arts program, you will develop a broad skill set that will help you succeed in a wide variety of careers. Whether you plan to begin professional practice, work as a curator in an art gallery, or go on to further your education in a professional program or graduate school, you will be well prepared.

Official transcripts from all institutions (domestic or international) previously or presently attended, secondary schools, colleges and universities (Domestic and international applicants who have attended postsecondary institutions outside of North America must have their transcripts assessed.
International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with at least six subjects, including three at a higher level, with a minimum final grade of 24, will be considered for admission. Students who successfully complete the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a score of 24 or higher are eligible to receive up to 30 transfer credits, equivalent to one year of full-time study.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Applicants to all programs except Nursing require a minimum score of 83 (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading, listening and writing, and a minimum score of 22 in speaking.
International English Language Test Service (IELTS) : Applicants to all programs except Nursing require a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with a minimum 6 in reading, listening, speaking and writing.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Applicants to all programs except Nursing require a minimum overall score of 58 with a minimum score of 56 in speaking, writing, reading and listening.
NURSING
TOEFL: Applicants to Nursing require a minimum score of 93 with a minimum score of 20 in reading and listening and a minimum score of 22 in writing and speaking
IELTS: Applicants to Nursing require a minimum overall band score of 7 with a minimum 6.5 in reading, listening, speaking and writing
