Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering - Networking

The Internet as we know it is a point-to-point communication model. Networking takes the model a step further. By using networking you can turn the net created by point-to-point communication into a finer integrated mesh of communication points. We research methods in which to effectively organize the flow of traffic which exists in these networks through the use of computer software with an ultimate aim at designing, building and operating telecommunication networks.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field. The ECE Department prefers that applicants have an undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or higher. The Graduate School requires applicants to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

ECE Department Required Minimum Scores Internet-based Test (IBT) 90 with Listening 18 points, Reading 18 points, Writing 18 points, Speaking 19 points-for admission.
