Its key focus is on leading and managing organisations human resources ethically, responsibly and sustainably. Youll study key concepts such as strategic resourcing, human resource development, employee relations, performance and reward, and employment law. We offer a number of additional opportunities to enhance your CV, develop your employability or enterprise skills, and increase commercial awareness. These include work placements, overseas travel and study, guest speakers and networking. We have links with the award-winning Human Resource Management student society, which provide additional guest lectures and networking opportunities, as well as mock interviews to improve your preparation for future roles. There are also volunteering programmes both within and outside the University, and for representing your programme at Programme or School level. Over the past five years, many of our students have successfully secured Human Resource Management positions in public and private organisations in roles for companies and organisations including PWC, Nissan, ITV and local authorities. Others have moved outside HRM to secure roles as management consultants and operations managers.
