You need to be able to follow musical direction and where necessary create musical parts for new songs and arrangements.In addition to these technical skills in either guitar, bass, drums or keyboards, to be a successful musician you must also be adept at using DAWs and other technology needed. Having a compelling professional identity and the understanding of how to market yourself effectively is essential.
