Certificate of Completion in Tax Preparer

The Tax Preparer certificate is designed to provide you with knowledge and skills that are essential building blocks in the field of Accounting. All courses within this certificate are also part of a AAAS degree in Accounting. Shoreline Community College offers a short-term Tax Preparer Certificate of Completion (CC) leading to an entry-level position in the accounting field. Students interested in advancement are encouraged to enroll in longer courses of study to complete additional certificates the AAAS degree in Accounting. Students pursuing a four-year baccalaureate degree should follow the Associate in Business, DTA/MRP Planning Guide.

Please submit your academic record (unofficial transcripts are acceptable) - If you are under 18 years old at the time of orientation, submit your most recent academic record (transcript or diploma), If you have attended any U.S. schools, submit transcripts from each U.S. school you have attended, If you are 18 years old or older and never attended a U.S. school, transcripts are recommended and may be require. We reserve the right to ask for original documents.
Schools are legally required to verify funding information before issuing an I-20. Please submit a bank letter or balance statement issued within the last 6 months.

International Baccalaureate (IB) SL or HL Score (Grade)-Placement into English 101: English A Literature score of 5, 6, or 7
Placement into English 102: English A Language & Literature 5, 6, or 7

TOEFL-Internet-Based Test (iBT) English 101: 70 overall, 20 writing
IELTS-English 101: 5.5 overall, 6.0 writing
