Geographers integrate knowledge of culture, society and the economy with understanding of the earth's physical system and biosphere in order to provide a holistic perspective on human-environment relationships. This integrative perspective is vital to understanding and addressing the world's complex problems, including renewable energy, environmental change, and indigenous cultures in a globalizing world.

Students may pursue either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography. The Bachelor of Arts can choose the following options:

The Mission of the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences is to provide a world-class academic experience that promotes innovation and research, leading to advanced education and exciting careers in geography, environmental sustainability, meteorology, climate, geographic information science, and global environmental concerns. Students in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability are provided an interdisciplinary approach to complex environmental, economic and social issues, with advanced technology available at their fingertips. Graduates of this program lead efforts in research, decision-making, and policies that drive efforts in geography across the globe.

grades (marks), class or division obtained should be equivalent to a B average or a 3.0 grade point average on the U.S. unweighted 4.0 scale. Applicants must be 17 years of age prior to the first day of classes. The applicant's high school class of his or her peers must have graduated as well.
Applicants must submit official transcripts from each institution attended.
All applicants for whom English is a second language must present evidence of English language proficiency.
All international applicants must demonstrate adequate financial resources.
