Bachelor of Science (Frontier Physics) and Master of Physics

This Combined Bachelor and Master (CBM) is a four-year accelerated program for those with an ATAR of 96 or above. Over the first three years you’ll complete a major in Frontier Physics, and four units from the Master of Physics, including research training. The frontier of contemporary physics is built on a broad base of deep theoretical ideas that have been verified with astonishing precision by the most intricate and challenging experiments known to mankind.

This accelerated four-year Masters provides you with a solid grounding in the fundamental theories, conceptual framework, computational techniques and experimental skills in frontier physics; enabling you to progress to postgraduate studies, research or a career in physics faster.

You’ll achieve an understanding of the universe at its smallest and largest scales and be ready for an engaging career in research, teaching, or tech development.

Applicants wishing to commence an undergraduate degree at UWA must satisfy the Universitys academic and English language competence ELC requirements to be eligible for a place within the course.
Overseas secondary studies taught and examined in English Secondary teaching and examination in English is acceptable if deemed equivalent to Australian matriculation Year 12 with a pass in the final year English paper completed within two years of application.
IELTS Academic - Minimum overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 must include Academic Reading and Writing modules for all courses.
TOEFL - Internet-based Test iBT An overall score of 82 with a minimum score of 22 in the Writing section 18 in the Reading section 20 in the Speaking section and 20 in the Listening section for all courses.
TOEFL - Essay Rating Test of Written English TWE of 45 and either 230 Computer-based or 570 Paper-based score.
