For admission to the University of Law, international students need to satisfy several entry requirements. Each course has its own academic entry requirements and students are advised to check they meet these prior to application.
Most international students will need to prove their English language proficiency before starting a course. This can be through an English language qualification, which will need to meet the university's minimum requirements.
For most courses, the requirement is an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band score lower than 6.0 (or an equivalent qualification). However, requirements can vary and students are advised to check the eligibility criteria for their preferred course.
Those who have an academic qualification that is equivalent to a UK degree, and were taught in a predominantly English-speaking country, may not have to prove their English language proficiency.
Students who need to improve their English language levels to qualify for a university course can study on one of university's seven-week pre-sessional English courses.
Students must also check the visa they will need. The university provides support for receiving a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) for those requiring a Student Route visa.
