Pre-Masters in Economics

The Department of Economics is pleased to offer Pre-Master's (Pre-MA), Master of Arts (MA) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program. Our students pursue studies in various fields of economics. We also offer agricultural economics specialization at the PhD level in conjunction with the Department of Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics. The expected time to completion for MA degree is 1 year and for PhD degree is 4 years. Please read the application procedures website carefully before applying for our graduate programs. Students should not apply for our graduate programs if they do not satisfy the minimum entrance requirements. Note that satisfying the minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee admission to our graduate programs. Students with undergraduate course deficiencies may be admitted to the Pre-Master's program to complete the background requirements.
